Dr. Govind Kulkarni is a Senior Consultant in Medicine and a Principal Investigator for multiple research projects. He has been associated with Jehangir Hospital for the past 22 years.

Before relocating to Pune, India, Dr. Govind Kulkarni completed his MD in Medicine from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Maharashtra, India, in 1995. He underwent advanced training in Critical Care and Cardiology at P.D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He also completed his Cardiology Research Fellowship and advanced training in Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Govind Kulkarni has conducted multiple research trials as a Principal Investigator at Shree Hospital, Sahyadri Hospital, Ruby Hall Clinic, and JCDC, Jehangir Hospital, Pune. He has led trials on new cardiac drugs, diabetic drugs, antibiotics, COVID-19 drugs, and COVID-19 vaccines.

He was the Principal Investigator for multiple international trials, including the ENGAGE-AF study for a new oral anticoagulant, the FOURIER study for PCSK9 inhibitors, and the COVAVAX trials for the COVID-19 vaccine conducted by ICMR/SII.

His primary interests lie in treating critical patients and conducting research, along with general medical practice.
